Glamping

Who said camping couldn’t be glamorous? Well, it’s time to say goodbye to pop up tents, and hello to luxury!

What is glamping you may ask? It’s the modern way to experience the great outdoors but in comfort and style, so if you want to be at one with nature but dislike the hassle of camping, glamping is for you!

‘Glamping’ short for ‘glamourous camping’ is becoming a worldwide phenomenon and it doesn’t look to be going away anytime soon. The most appealing part of glamping, apart from an actual bed, is that everything is already set up for you when you arrive. There are many styles of glamping tents which differentiate it from traditional camping such as tipis, domes, yurts and safari tents, all very spacious which means more room for activities!

Popular campgrounds are starting to introduce glamping to their facilities, having the option available for families or the weekend traveller.

You can find this beauty at Sirromet Winery, a short 30-minute drive from Brisbane. Sanctuary by Sirromet at Mt Cotton is the newest addition to the brand. Set in tranquil bushlands, the 560-acre property captures spectacular views across Moreton Bay in the heart of south-east Queensland.  Sanctuary offers different size pavilions all which include many luxurious amenities which would not normally be available to you whilst camping.

  • Air conditioning
  • Heating
  • Microwave
  • Shower/ toilet
  • Coffeemaker
  • Free WIFI
  • Onsite Restaurants
  • Mini Bar

Whilst you’re there, indulge in the food from the award-winning onsite restaurant, Lurleen’s or take advantage of the winery, it’s only a short walk from home…

So why not enjoy all the benefits of camping without the hard yakka and give glamping a go!
