The prestigious Clipper Round the World Yacht Race added Airlie Beach to its list of 13 stopover ports for its 2017-2018 race.
The Whitsundays Clipper Race Carnival was created to welcome the adventurers and showcase the region to them and other local and international guests.
Two wonderous weeks of events included the “Bendigo Bank” Clipper Race Welcome Party and a Rodeo by the Reef in Bowen.
