“This is pretty amazing. We’ve got the sunset going down here and over my shoulder here, the Sunshine Coast hinterland, I can even see Coolum. And you’ve got the Pacific Ocean there. Everything here.” Lee tells us as he’s hanging off the 50m wall at Mount Tinbeerwah.
He’s just taken the big step from horizontal to vertical, dangling by not much more than a piece of “string”. Run by Grab Rock, their Sunset Abseil is something else – watching the sunset, the golden glow in the sky and it’s all yours – not a soul in sight. Beauty.
If you prefer your adventure a little closer to the ground and on two wheels, just down the road is Cooroy in the Mount Tinbeerwah National Park. With over 25km’s of flow trails, there’s plenty for every level of rider to explore.
