Eat Local Week on the Scenic Rim

From June 25 to July 3 the Scenic Rim will be hosting Eat Local Week, an incredible event where visitors are invited backstage to meet the farmers and to sample the incredible produce that has put this region on the map.

This year there’s an amazing line up of over 125 events; long lunches, workshops, tours, talks and much more. For foodies, it’s the ultimate event!

The festival is a big boon to the local economy. The festival was last held in 2019 and it brought in 2 million dollars of activity and over 40,000 visitors. Greg Christensen is the local mayor and he says, ‘What Eat Local Week has done for our communities, for our farmers, artists and producers, is give them belief. Give them hope. They’ve always been great farmers, but now their shoulders are back and their chins are up because they are celebrated and recognized for what they do each day.’

The festival runs over 9 jammed back days and you’re encouraged to head online to check out the program and to book your tickets. They always sell fast so don’t miss out!!
