Elysian Retreat

Kicking back in the Whitsundays has never looked more attractive than a stay at Elysian Retreat on Long Island in the Whitsundays.  And for good reason…

It’s the most secluded island retreat in the region and is the first 100% solar-powered resort on the Great Barrier Reef.

If you’ve been hunting for a hideaway for two, this… is… it.

To guarantee peace and quiet, there are just 10 villas tucked into a private cove, so there’s a maximum of 20 guests on the island.  The villas have perfected that outside-in look.

The resort has a small team of dedicated staff whose purpose it is to make sure guests have the luxury escape of a lifetime.

Choose to idle the day away relaxing by the pool, taking timeout in the day spa, or swinging in a hammock with a good book. Grab a kayak or paddleboard and go exploring the reef.

Access to Elysian Retreat is via a 10-20 minute helicopter ride from either Hamilton Island or Whitsunday Coast Airport. Great views over the beautiful Whitsunday Islands are guaranteed on the journey!

Boat transfers are also possible from Shute Harbour in Airlie Beach and from Hamilton Island.  Although access is limited due to tidal variations and weather restrictions.
