Planning a romantic date with your better half can be tough at the best of times. But with social distancing, it can be even trickier.
But there are plenty of businesses and organisations around Queensland that are adapting to the times we live in and bringing the things we love most into our homes.
Cork and Chroma have long been popular for their ‘Paint and Sip’ art lessons for groups. Their ‘Mums & Bubs’ art sessions are also a hit. Now they’ve begun online art classes, via Zoom. They can accommodate up to 100 people from various locations, with everyone learning to paint the same subject. It’s a great way to ‘gather’ with friends and keep the creative juices flowing.
New Farm Deli has been a Brisbane favourite since 1975. Since social distancing measures came in, they’ve been offering home delivery of their wonderful pastas, sauces, deli goods and frozen meals. It’s a great way to enjoy the food you love most and support local business.
Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra – has created a program so that people can enjoy classical music in the comfort of their own home. Each day, at 5pm, a different musician from the orchestra performs from their home. The performances are streamed live on Camerata’s Youtube and Facebook pages.
Something fun to do… great food… and beautiful music: sounds like the perfect recipe for a romantic date, COVID-19 style.
