Is Carnarvon Gorge Queensland’s best bush walk?

Carnarvon Gorge is one of Queensland’s unsung treasures, a tropical oasis surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs.

It’s well worth the effort to get here – 740km from Brisbane via Toowoomba, Dalby, Roma and Injune or 510km from Gladstone via Biloela and Rolleston.

There’s 21km of walking tracks within the canyon itself, but to get a true perspective of the size and magnitude of the area, we take a birds-eye view to explore Carnarvon Gorge before hit the ground to soak up the natural beauty of this Queensland oasis.
