Scenic Rim Eat Local Week

From soaring peaks to fertile paddocks, the Scenic Rim is both beautiful and bountiful.

And the most delicious thing about this gorgeous slice of country, south of Brisbane?

It hosts one of Queensland’s biggest and best food and produce festivals – Scenic Rim Eat Local Week

There are more than 125 events to sink your teeth into – from vegetable bouquet workshops to long lunches – but the festival’s signature celebration is the Winter Harvest Festival, traditionally held in the little town of Aratula.

Skip breakfast – because you’ll spend the day tasting, sipping and sampling!

Fresh produce and artisan products are put on the pedestal – as farmers, brewers and wine-makers bring their tasty best for you to try and buy.

The festival also offers a host of clever chefs on stage – with cooking demonstrations to make the most of th region’s fresh fruit and veggies.

There’s plenty for the kids to enjoy – from face-painting to carrot tossing.

And the day reaches a peak with the annual Tractor Pulling Competition.

Scenic Rim Eat Local Week is on again in 2023. It’s just one highlight in a whole year’s worth of festivals and events, happening in some of Queensland’s most spectacular destinations.
