The Curated Plate 2022: Harvest in Montville

The Curated (side) Plate festival is returning to the Sunshine Coast and will celebrate the culinary delights and producers of the region. It will run from July 29 til August 7 and boasts a packed lineup of long lunches, cruises and foodie events.

Taking part this year will be Good Harvest Farm in Woombye, recently winner of Australian Organic Farmer of the Year. For Curated Plate they’ll be holding the ‘Flavours of the Harvest’ long lunch which will feature their own produce prepared by chefs Zeb Gilbert (Make Peace Island) and James Ostridge. They’ll also be hosting workshops on how to grow you own vegetables at home.

People, Plates and Places is sure to be a popular series of events during Curated Plate. They were dreamt up by Elizabeth Craig- Holmes. She says, ‘The concept is that we take the people and the plates to the places where the food is grown. We set up a restaurant without walls and we serve five or six courses with paired wines’. The farms themselves will also be at the dinners so they can meet diners and share their stories.

To extend your stay in the Hinterland, how about a cozy cabin, nestled in the rainforest? A perfect couples getaway, Misty View Cottages in Montville will guarantee a relaxing stay. And to continue the Sunny Coast feast, there’s a breakfast hamper of local produce included in your stay. Gourmet!
