What to see and do in the Scenic Rim

We are blessed in the great south east to have the scenic rim right on our doorstep; from day trips to weeklong getaways, this region has an unrivalled offering of stunning locations, world-class dining and gorgeous accommodation. It was hit by recent fires, but it has sprung back from the ashes, and local business are open more than eager to welcome you with world-class hospitality.

For my scenic rim day trip, my first stop was the Tamborine Mountain Coffee Plantation, who take care of the beans from cultivation to cappuccino. It was eye-opening to see the entire coffee-making process, and I gained a whole new appreciation for all the time and effort that goes into making the perfect cup of coffee!

After my hit of caffeine, I was in the mood for some adrenalin-pumping action, and luckily for me, the longest zipline in Australia is just down the road at the Tree Top Challenge in Cedar Creek. Tree Top Challenge is a unique and fun way to engage with the natural beauty of the Scenic Rim, and to take it all in from a bird’s eye view reveals just how lucky we are to have places like Cedar Creek right on our doorstep.

The Scenic Rim is a well renowned as a fertile food bowl, producing a huge range of gourmet delights, and one place to enjoy some of the fancier culinary delicacies of the region is at Witches Fall Winery. It’s the only working winery on the mountain, with a huge range of delicious vino, and they also stock local cheeses and other delicious nibbles to enjoy with your vino.
