Winter in Springbrook

Springbrook in the Gold Coast Hinterland offers a range of experiences that are vastly different to what visitors will find on the coast. Springbrook is a lovely village perched 900m above sea level and it boasts 6000 hectares of national park that are home to lush sub tropical rainforest and beautiful waterfalls.

For walkers, a great place to recharge is at the Dancing Waters Café which is right next to the Purlingbrook Falls car park. It’s well known for its healthy selection that includes fresh, organic, local and home-grown produce. It opened its doors 25 years ago and is still a popular hangout for locals.

A terrific accommodation option in Springbrook is Mouses House Rainforest Retreat. It has 13 lovely cedar wood chalets that are hidden in the rainforest. Each chalet comes with hand crafted beds, spas, self-contained kitchens and views of the lush rainforest.

For RACQ members, there’s a great tour that heads up to the Gold Coast Hinterland. Members get a 10% discount. It’s called the Gold Coast Hinterland Day Tour and it takes in Springbrook and Natural Arch and much more.
