They’re as Aussie as blue heelers and billy tea.
Nothing says country Australia like a sturdy, reliable and yet humble ute!
If you own a ute that you reckon is a beaut, then why not show it off in the Annual Ute Muster at the Boonah Show, in south-east Queensland’s Scenic Rim?
In 2021, the show notches up 120 years of country fun – from ring events to rodeos… woodchopping to wild rides.
And speaking of rides, utes at the muster come in all shapes, sizes and levels of hygiene! There are multiple categories to enter in the contest – including Best Working Ute; Best Chicks Ute; Best B & S Ute; Best Classic Ute; and Best Feral Ute for those who prefer their wheels a little on the wild and woolly side.
And the muster is a meeting of minds as much as motors – with characters from far and wide vying for the coveted Grand Champion trophy.
For the first time, our WEEKENDER team entered the show’s mighty Isuzu DMAX ute into the 2021 competition.
In honour of this inaugural showing, the judges at Boonah Show even created a new category for the muster – Best WEEKENDER Ute!
And guess who won! 😉
The Boonah Show is on again in 2022 – including the Annual Ute Muster – so get that chrome and paintwork gleaming (unless you own a feral ute)… and make sure you’re part of the showdown.
Entry to the muster is free. Just arrive at the Boonah Showgrounds no later than 11am. Judging takes place in the afternoon.
