Mooloolaba is a front runner when it comes to amazing Queensland destinations.
It’s got great dining and shopping with the new Wharf precinct, plenty of fun for the family with attractions like SeaLife Mooloolaba and then, of course, there’s Mooloolaba Beach, awarded one of Australia’s top beaches on Trip Advisor.
When it comes to new experiences of the region, there are some fresh additions making serious waves.
Pavillion Mooloolaba is one of the most anticipated openings of 2021 and with the views it offers, it’s living up to the hype.
With distinct European summer vibes, The Pavillion is offering everything from your morning coffee to that late-night cocktail.
And then there’s the signature dish, 72-hour fermented dough pizza!
“It’s very traditional,” said owner Shane Hepburn. “It was handed down from our Head Chef’s Grandma to his mother to himself.”
From one internationally inspired spot to another, accommodation is sorted with beach homes, The Palm House and The Pool House.
The owners were inspired by a trip to Morocco and Greece bring a little taste of it back with them and incorporating design ideas into the two homes.
Available for sole hire or individual use, they can cater to a couple’s retreat or whole family festivities.
From chilling by the water to diving out at sea, Mooloolaba has a new submarine!
Down Under Submarines can take you to the very depths of the Pacific in the Subcat 30.
“It’s unique, there were only three of these subs ever built,” said owner Andrey Alexeenko. “It’s almost 20 metres long, 6 metres wide but the most important part is the pressure hull.”
“It’s built for 50-metre pressure depth but commercially rated to 30. It’s unique because it’s hybrid… it can travel on the surface as a boat using diesel and electrical power underwater.”
Once out on site, it takes about 15 minutes to reach almost 20 metres deep until the gentle nudge to the bottom.
Whether you’re after a new experience or uncovering a hidden gem, there are plenty of reasons to head to the Sunshine Coast for your next holiday.
