Phoebe Russell is just 26 years old and already considered one of the most exciting emerging double bassists in the world. The Aussie local began her career with the Berlin Philharmonic and now plays with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra (QSO).
In 2022 the QSO has an amazing season planned, with performances around the state to celebrate its 75th birthday. In November Phoebe will be performing a very special solo concerto, composed just for her by Queensland composer Paul Dean.
Phoebe will also be performing at the Australian Festival of Chamber Music which will be held in Townsville from 29th July to 7th August.
