Queensland Calendar of Events – October & November

Time for a round-up of upcoming festivals – starting with Ariat Warwick Rodeo.

Australia’s most famous rodeo and campdraft kick up the dust for a full week in the charming Southern Downs city of Warwick from 21 to 27 October.

More than 30 thousand  people are expected to pack the showground stands – as the country’s best riders go head-to-horns with bucking bulls and broncs.

Take a deep dive into the art, culture and natural beauty of the Bundaberg region at Milbi Festival, running from 25 October to 3 November.

As the 10-day festival unfurls, visitors can enjoy immersive indigenous experiences, art installations, concerts, sand-shaping contest, twilight long table dinner in the Botanic Gardens and much more.

Get ready to party in paradise – as Whitsunday Sailing Club presents the Airlie Beach Festival of Music from 7 to 9 November.

With the sparkling Coral Sea as backdrop, the Big Tent on the Airlie foreshore will host electrifying performances from established Aussie bands and rising stars.

Across the waves from Airlie lies Hamilton Island, hosting its annual Triathlon and Ocean Swim Weekend on 23 and 24 November.

Surely one of the world’s prettiest locations to stage a tri, Hammo serves up the ultimate test of endurance – a 750-metre swim in Catseye Bay followed by a 20-kay cycle across the island, finishing with a 5-kilometre run around the marina and resort.

There’s still time in 2024 to party! Hop to it and head to the Queensland dot com events line-up, to find a festival or event with your name on it.
