The good-old-road trip is pretty much part of Queenslander’s DNA. It has been one of the most popular ways to explore this great state ever since our pioneering travellers first set the tracks 160-odd years ago.
The Adventure Way Drive follows along the wheel ruts of the old cobb & co route from Brisbane to Adelaide, via Queensland’s Outback.
You can choose to start off in the town of Toowoomba whilst making some incredible stops along the way. From cotton and cattle country in the towns of Dalby and St George, to spectacular outback plains at Wandilla station. It’s an adventure drive that takes in the very best of the west.
Time your trip around September and you can join in on the fun at the Cunnamulla Fella Festival. The three day festival celebrates the town’s proud pastoral heritage in true outback spirit with activities, entertainment, rodeos and competitions that you’ll only find out west.
