And They’re Racing!

Do the words ‘giddy up’ make you giddy with excitement?

It’s that time of year again when cooler weather ushers in horseracing’s most prestigious mid-year event – The Star Stradbroke Season at Brisbane’s Eagle Farm.

Two big race days are still to come – including Channel Seven’s Oaks Day and The Star Stradbroke Day, this year with a record-breaking $3 million prize purse.

So how do you plan the perfect ‘day at the races’ in Brisbane?

First, find yourself a fabulous suite or room at The Star Treasury Hotel – a trifecta of elegant heritage, luxury and comfort.

Second, make sure you’ve got your sartorial game tight. Each raceday in the season comes with traditional rules and fashion code guidelines.  But the main tip is – have fun and enjoy dressing up!

This year, Brisbane Racing Club introduces a new ambassador for the season – star jockey, Stephanie Thornton.  Steph is stepping down from the saddle to start a family – and is relishing swapping her jockey silks for glamorous race day fashion.

Third step – get yourself trackside!  At Eagle Farm, the top tier dining and drinking experience will see tonnes of fresh Queensland seafood, cheese and other delights   (including, of course, flowing champagne) served up at premium marquee events.

Step four – put a tasty full stop on the day by heading back to The Star Treasury and its array of wonderful eateries, including Fat Noodle – the city’s home of Asian-fusion street food.  Pair your Pad Thai, Silken Tofu, Grilled Pork Skewers and Salmon Sashimi with an elegant cocktail. Perhaps the Fiery Dragon? Or Blissful Snake?  Either way, it’s a sure bet you’ve had a win.

With a range of hospitality options for all, head to www.brc.com.au to experience The Star Stradbroke Season, Brisbane’s premier racing carnival”

Tickets are now on sale for the remaining race days in The Star Stradbroke Season 2023 – so make sure you don’t miss out.

And catch all the racing action live across the screens of Seven.
