Angel Flight Outback Trailblazer – 30 Jan 2016

We hope you enjoyed our half hour special, presented by Anna Daniels, celebrating the 2015 Angel Flight Outback Trailblazer.

Angel Flight is a charity that coordinates non-emergency flights for people living in remote areas of outback Australia. All the flights are free and the patients and their families on board are taken to hospitals across the country.

Each year, the Angel Flight Outback Trailblazers hit the road to raise money for the cause. Since starting in 2009, the Trailblazers have raised almost half a million dollars. And 2015 was the biggest year yet, with 61 vehicles and 188 participants.

The 2015 journey took in Birdsville, Quilpie, Bedourie, Boulia, Winton and plenty more. It was a 1500 kilometre adventure packed with fun and adventure.

The Trailblazers are already busy planning the 2016 event. It’ll boast a rejigged itinerary with exciting new locales. For those interested, jump onto the website for more details and to register.
