Brisbane’s best game of eye spy!

Winter in Brisbane is a special time of year. It’s the small things, like walking in the sunshine without feeling the sting. But it’s also the big things – winter is whale season! The east coast of Australia becomes a playground for these graceful giants.

Brisbane Whale Watching whisks passengers from the Redcliffe Peninsula out to Moreton Bay for an extraordinary encounter with the Southern Humpback Whales. On board the suitably named vessel, Eye Spy.

A venture run by the infamous Captain Kerry who has been taking people whale watching for close to 30 years. Her dedication to protecting these majestic creatures is unwavering. From when she started has seen the whale population grow from 100 to 40,000 now coming through the marine park – an Australian success story!

You can continue your game of eye spy back on dry land too! Skyline Atrractions giant Ferris wheel is new on the Woody Point horizon. Jump in a gondola and take to the skies!

It’s a breathtaking way to take in a 360-degree panoramic view of the whole peninsula.

You’ll spy The Belvedere Hotel from up top. It’s an iconic place to watch the sunset with a sundowner in Woody Point. It’s had a ritzy makeover in recent times and now offers both upstairs and downstairs dining. The menu has everything from lobster to good old chicken parmies.

There’s so much to set your sights on in the Moreton Bay region so why not make a weekend of it. The Sebel Margate Beach is located right on the seafront. An idyllic location.
