Cape Hillsborough

Cape Hillsborough sits on the coast, north of Mackay – and it’s where you’ll find Cape Hillsborough Nature Tourist Park.

The park is well known because, each sunrise, wallabies and kangaroos visit the beach to feed on washed-up seed pods – giving visitors an extraordinary wildlife encounter in one of Australia’s most beautiful settings.

The park has great facilities that include mini-golf; a large swimming pool; and outdoor cinema. Accommodation includes beach houses; family cabins; and ample space for campers and caravanners.

The park is also close to bush walks that offer sweeping views of the southern Whitsunday islands and Keswick Island.
