Churros with Chocolate Sauce

Churros Ingredients

  • 250ml milk
  • 1 tbs caster sugar + additional sugar for dusting
  • 50g butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla paste
  • 115g plain flour
  • 3 egg yolks

Method

Bring milk, sugar, butter and vanilla to the boil then remove from heat. Stir in flour and mix briskly until combined then beat in yolks one at a time. Spoon into a piping bag with a 2cm star nozzle. Pipe into 15cm lengths and deep fry at 180C until golden then toss in sugar. Serve with chocolate sauce

Chocolate Sauce Ingredients

  • 250ml condensed milk
  • 200g dark chocolate
  • Splash of rum
  • Splash of milk

Method

Heat the condensed milk and whisk in the chocolate till silky consistency. Add rum and milk to taste!
