Flame Hill Vineyard sits in the pretty Sunshine Coast hinterland, near Montville. Not unexpectedly, there’s a vineyard, cellar door and restaurant on site. The genuine surprise, however, is that the whole venture is set on three hundred acres of genuine working farm.
Flame Hill’s owner, Tony Thompson, has been on a mission to create a true “paddock to wineglass and plate” experience for guests. One hundred head of mixed cattle graze on the property – supplying quality beef to the restaurant. Add to that, poultry raised on farm and veggies from the market gardens – and visitors can expect to dine on the best and freshest produce, grown within just a few hundred metres of where they’re dining.
The cellar door is open daily for tastings and Flame Hills’ two dining options – the Restaurant or the Terrace – are open Thursday to Monday for lunch.
You can also stay in one of Flame Hill’s two heritage guest-houses situated on the property, with stunning views of surrounding countryside.
