It’s time to dust off your winter woolies because the hit musical production ‘Frozen’ is headed to QPAC in Brisbane and it’s sure to be a hit with Disney fans of all ages!
Relive the magic of Arendelle and revisit some of your favourite characters such as Elsa, Princess Anna, Sven and Olaf, the friendly snowman. Tickets are on sale now and performances run until 8th May.
The show features an incredible cast of Aussies like Jemma Rix. She says, ‘I think one of the goals as a performer is to work on a Disney show because of the attention to detail. No expense spared and a great company to work for. So I was really excited to become part of the Disney family. And it hasn’t disappointed me yet.’
Matt Lee is another Aussie actor who’s thrilled to be playing the part of Olaf. ‘I’ve played these kind of iconic roles before where people come expecting so much and Olaf is right up there.’ Says Matt.
‘So there’s big shoes to fill but I’m having the best time.’
Playing the part of Princess Anna is Courtney Monsma who always dreamt of being on stage. ‘It is a dream come true and it’s a good reflection that you can have a dream and it can come true if you work hard enough and I feel so honoured to be a part of this. It still feels like I’m that Uni student living my dream.’
And it’s not just QPAC getting into the Frozen spirit. Throughout Frozen’s season, restaurants around Brisbane will be serving up themed meals, drinks and desserts, just like Cowch Dessert and Cocktail Bar. They’ll be putting on a ‘Frozen’ menu that includes an Ice Palace Sundae, Eternal Winter Cake and plenty more.
If you’re making the effort to see Frozen, why not make a weekend out of it? The Novotel Brisbane South Bank is offering guests an overnight package that includes tickets, a King or Twin room, breakfast, a specialty frozen inspired cocktail and more.
