From hinterland forest to sandy foreshore, Horizon Festival is the Sunshine Coast’s premier arts and culture celebration of people and place.
Festival highlights include the Dawn Ceremony at Coolum – honouring the coast’s traditional custodians in a moving first light gathering attended by thousands of people.
Maroochydore’s Cotton Tree Park is one of many festival hotspots up and down the coast – hosting free family entertainment, including “Bees by Polyglot” – a wonderland of honeycomb houses and antics by giant, bumbling, bumblebees.
Horizon Festival is 10 days of art, music, dance, theatre and wild imagination! It’s on again in 2024 – so don’t miss the fun!
(Special thanks to Nic Morley, Timothy Burch and Mark Zonotto for supplied festival vision.)
