How to spoil Mum this Mother’s Day…From afar!

Celebrating Mother’s Day will look a little different for most of us this year… but that doesn’t mean we can’t spoil the sweetest woman in our life from afar and in isolation!

Usually, her special day starts off best with breakfast in bed (which we think any Mum would agree with)and while we may not be there to facilitate that, Paddock Bakery in Burleigh Heads will be! It’s one of the Gold Coast’s quintessential must do’s – and they’re just one of the many businesses who’ve adapted to the current climate.

Paddock are currently open for walk-up takeaway and have also created a makeshift drive-thru – so it’s easy and safe to grab some sweet treats for your loved one. Think crème brulée doughnuts, Nutella-stuffed cookies… and of course more savoury goods like their rustic avo or a steak, bacon and cheese pie – made fresh and daily in their artisan bakery. So, if you’re nearby Mum, swing by Paddock and grab her some breaky to drop off – it’ll be the best way to start her day.

And of course, it’s no Mother’s Day without some fresh blooms! Posy Lane have you covered with their free contact-less delivery service with any bouquet of flowers… they’ll be delivering to most Gold Coast suburbs across the Mother’s Day weekend – just be sure to get in and order a few days in advance to avoid any disappointment!

Crockd is another company coming up with clever ways to make us smile during these difficult times. Burleigh locals, Rosa and Andrew, recently launched their DIY at-home pottery kits so you can create with clay in your own space, at your own pace… proving that even a brand-new business can thrive right now! Their Mother’s Day kit allows you to spend time with Mum on a virtual date making clay and enjoying deep conversations together as you move through their clay breaker cards. It’s sure to open up some interesting, and most-likely entertaining chats… and of course, make Mum’s day while making some super-cute pottery goods. The best part is – these kits are like friendship bracelets, so when you order online, half the kit goes to you and the other half to Mum
