It’s Live in Queensland this February

Dust off your party hat!  We have a fresh new year of fabulous festivals and events to enjoy, right across Queensland.

Noosa Festival of Surfing

Let’s kick off 2023 with a trio of sporting spectacles that celebrate stamina, sportsmanship and sheer physical skill… starting with the Noosa Festival of Surfing.

What began more than 30 years ago as the Noosa Malibu Classic has crested into a world-class event.

Give your shaka a workout and witness some of the planet’s best board-riders slog it out along the northern Sunshine Coat. Then stay on to soak up the festivities and the chill coastal vibe of stunning Noosa.

This year’s festival runs from 3 to 12 March.

Gold Coast Triathlon

If multi-sports are more your thing, head to Southport for the Gold Coast Triathlon, on the 1st and 2nd April.

Known as the ‘triathlon for triathletes’, the event sees elite sportsmen and women swim, pedal and run in a fast, flat race as thrilling for spectators as it is for competitors.  The Gold Coast Broadwater is the picturesque backdrop to the festival.

And if there’s a budding triathlete in the family, sign them up for the free kids’ contest on the Saturday before Sunday’s main event

Hell of the West Festival

Turn up the heat on your triathlon experience with the Hell of the West festival, held in Goondiwindi.  The long-course event sees entrants take on a pre-dawn murky swim, cycle 80 kilometres and finish with a punishing 20 kilometre run.

The hellish weekend in Gundy includes events for little demons too – plus plenty of pre- and post-race fun for spectators and supporters.

Make a country getaway of it and get yourself to Goondiwindi for Hell of the West, on the weekend of 25th and 26th March.

Head online and check out the It’s Live in Queensland events line-up and start planning your next festival adventure.

Whether it’s food, music, sport, culture or art – you’ll find a celebration that fits you to a tee.  There are 12 months of unique events to discover – set in unforgettable Queensland destinations.
