“We’re a family-owned vineyard and we hand produce all of our wines so that means we still hand plant our vines, hand pick our grapes and a lot of the bottling and labelling also happens by hand,”Cara explained.
This small boutique vineyard produces a gorgeous variety of whites, reds and fortified wines.
“We recently entered the small winemakers awards,” Cara continued. “We put in 16 wines and brought home ten medals so we’re very proud of ourselves.”
There’s more to Flame Hill than beautiful wines. As well as wine tasting, you can enjoy cheese and chacuterre boards and watch the beautiful ocean views from the massive deck. There’s also paddock to plate dining on offer such as Gold Band Snapper with a green papaya salad or a Black Angus burger on a locally made pumpkin roll!
