New Brewery on the Block

The Sunshine Coast is Australia’s unofficial craft beer capital with more boutique breweries per frothy head than any other part of the country.

Little wonder then that an Aussie pioneer in brewing should trek an epic 4 and a half thousand kilometres across the continent to set up shop on the Sunny Coast.

Matso’s Brewery established the nation’s most remote brewery in Broome, Western Australia, and became famous as the first craft brewer to create alcoholic ginger beer.

Fast forward and Matso’s have brought their signature sips – and a whole lot more – to new digs in the charming Sunshine Coast market town of Eumundi.

Refurbing and extending what used to be Joe’s Waterhole – a heritage-pub in town – Matso’s Sunshine Coast brewery has created a breezy, family-friendly space that offers chilled vibes and a kids playground – along with its unique brews, spirit cocktails and an elevated food menu, starring seafood delights like Lobster Rolls and Kingfish Sashimi.
