For a main course and unique atmosphere, step inside The Cottage Restaurant. This is fine dining at its best inside a classic Queenslander that was built in 1861, with the bedrooms transformed into cozy dinning spaces. The menu serves up dishes created with locally sourced ingredients from the Scenic Rim and Brisbane Valley. There are so many fantastic options to choose from but for a real taste sensation of rich, earthy flavours, the rolled rabbit with mushrooms, saffron emulsion, celeriac ravioli and puffed grains is the choice to make. The cravings are coming on just typing about it!
Dessert cannot be skipped, not when UB’s Milk Bar is just around the corner. This retro milk bar with a modern twist also has burger and shake options but the ultimate reason to visit is for an ice-cream experience like no other. Classic flavours are available but so are more unique offerings such as salted caramel and bacon, and fairy bread. These ice creams are also used to create stunning desserts like the pavlova poffertjes – fluffy Dutch mini pancakes loaded with ice-cream, fresh fruit, meringue pieces, ice-cream and drizzled in a choice of topping!
