Sue Whiteman is a Brisbane photographer who is often up early to capture the essence of South-east Queensland at dawn.
She gets to a location an hour before sunrise and sets up her Canon 5DIV for long exposure shots of the golden hour.
She’s particularly drawn to watery scenes so two of her favourite subjects are the Shorncliff Pier and the Story Bridge.
Both of those structures have interesting histories, which is part of their attraction. Sue matches the photos that she posts on Instagram to quotes that help describe her mood or the mood of the images themselves.
Her aim is to encourage people to get out and about in her beautiful home town.
