Queensland Calendar of Events – July

Hear ye! It’s time to unroll the scroll on upcoming festivals and events in Queensland.

Abbey Medieval Festival

We start with a perennial crowd-pleaser: the Abbey Medieval Festival at Caboolture.  Grab a tankard of mead, throw on your best pointy hat or helmet and go back in time to the Middle Ages for a day.

This year, the festival takes place across the weekend of 6 and 7 July – and will feature favourites including swordplay, historical re-enactment, cannon fire, medieval markets, falconry, Turkish oil wrestling and the Moreton Bay Joust Championships. Go along for the spectacle of crowds and participants in role-play costume.

Jumpers & Jazz in July

Prefer a cosy cardie to chain mail? This winter, Warwick warms up for the 20th year of Jumpers & Jazz in July

This 10-day festival from 18 to 28 July is famous for yarnbombing – quirky knits festooning the town’s trees and landmarks.  Beyond the knit-fest, there are jazz parties, vintage cars and train rides and a massive bonfire. Now that’s way to shake off the winter blues!

Noosa Alive!

Dive into dance, music, literature and theatre as Noosa Alive! sets the stage for a kaleidoscope of cultural events from 19 to 28 July.

A feast of ballet, comedy, performance, burlesque, magic and more return to the northern Sunshine Coast’s chicest resort town – along with a 2-day music festival on Noosa’s main beach.

Tickets for events start at just $25 each.

Jetty 2 Jetty

Get the whole gang limbering up for Jetty 2 Jetty, happening on the Redcliffe Peninsula on 21 July.

The fun run offers events for all levels of fitness – from the sprinters to the strollers.

In 2024, the event celebrates its 38th year – what a way to work out and see beautiful Moreton Bay!

You’ll find an event, sporting competition or festival with your name on it when you head online to the Queensland dot com events page.  Enjoy!
