Rainbow Beach Paragliding

One of the world’s best places to paraglide is right on our doorstep – at beautiful Rainbow Beach, 3 hours north of Brisbane.

Carlo Sand Blow looks like a slice of the Sahara that’s settled on the Cooloola Coast.  But don’t expect to see camels: think more along the lines of soaring eagles.

First-time fliers can get a taste of this exhilarating sport thanks to Rainbow Paragliding – tandem flights and training offered by experienced paraglider, Jean Luc Lejaille.

Jean Luc blew into Rainbow Beach in the 1980’s and has been offering tandem paragliding for the past 20 years.

The experience is an unforgettable way to see the striking coloured sand cliffs of the Cooloola Coast.  You might also spot whales, dolphins and manta rays as you soar and spiral above the big blue.

After a high like that, where else would you stay in Rainbow Beach than the loftiest accommodation possible?

Rainbow Ocean Palms Resort sits on a hill overlooking town – and offers luxury apartments and penthouses with plenty of style and space.

On the balcony, you can take in views that go on forever – beautiful blue ocean; forested coastline and perhaps even the occasional passing paraglider.
