The upcoming Scenic Rim Eat Local Week runs from June 26th until July 4th. It has an exciting program filled with over 125 events. They range from farm gate tours to scrumptious morning teas and long BBQ lunches. There’s bound to be something for all ages and all appetites.
An event that’s sure to be popular is the Kalbar-BQ. The title is a mash-up of the town of Kalbar, where it’s been held, and BBQ! On the menu will be local pork, beef, lamb and even camel! All cooked up by celebrity BBQ team, the Shank Brothers.
The Scenic Rim Farm Shop will be having its grand opening during the festival. It was created by the same food lovers as the Scenic Rim Farm Box which delivered the freshest local produce to people across the southeast.
The Farm Shop will be having morning teas and also welcoming Rachel from nearby Elderflower Farm who will be selling edible flowers and hosting flower tea and flower classes.
