Go small… or go home!
Queensland’s Top Tourism Town Awards have honoured the pint-sized places punching above their weight when it comes to holiday appeal.
For the third year running, Winton in Outback Queensland has waltzed home with gold in the Top Tiny Tourism Town category – sweeping it into the Hall of Fame.
Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays has scored a similar hat-trick – getting the gong for Top Small Tourism Town 3 years in a row, also earning a hallowed place in the Hall of Fame.
Roma, south-west of Brisbane, was another big winner – with gold in the Top Tourism Town finals.
And Queensland’s Top Tour Guide went to Adam Hinks from Aquascene. Adam offers amazing snorkelling and discovery tours of beautiful Magnetic Island off Townsville.
State winners from the Top Tourism Town Awards and Top Tour Guide Award will now represent
Queensland at the national awards happening later this year – with the chance to be crowned
the best in Australia.
