On our recent adventures to Winton’s Way Out West Fest, we were lucky enough to be joined by Instagram sensation, Sue Whiteman from Whitescapes Photography. Sue joined us as we boarded Queensland Rail Travel’s, Spirit of the Outback from Brisbane’s Roma Street Station all way by First Class Sleeper to Longreach.
From Longreach, we were transported by bus to the beautiful and picturesque, Winton where we experienced the opening of the brand new, Waltzing Matilda Centre, the Winton Races and breathtaking Outback scenery unlike any other.
Winton’s Way Out West Fest is a music festival that has to be experienced to be believed. With some of the country’s best bands, singers and songwriters all in one perfectly set place; we were able to have a chat with none other than John Williamson, rock out to Jessica Mauboy, interview James Blundell and bop to the amazing, Sheppard.
For anyone who hasn’t had the pleasure of visiting Queensland’s Outback heart, Winton is an adventure that needs to be had. To see more about Sue and her photography, take a look at her My QLD filmed late last year.
