The best of Bali – right here in Noosa!

If you’ve ever travelled to Bali, you’ll know that days are spent relaxing by the beach, soaking in the sun and pampering yourself. However, we’re all about encouraging travel in our own backyard and why wouldn’t we be, when our backyard is as beautiful as it is? We figured, why buy a plane ticket, when we can tick off all of the above (…and more), just two hours north of Brisbane?

Noosa on the Sunshine Coast has all the makings of an overseas holiday: beautiful beaches, fabulous restaurants and plenty of opportunities to pamper yourself!

Ikatan Spa is a Balinese-inspired retreat and spa in the suburb of Doonan. The spa is set amongst lush, tropical gardens, making it the perfect setting to unwind from the stresses of life. The treatment menu includes day retreats, packages for two, facial treatments and more! Guests can also extend their relaxation by indulging in the food and wine menu, which can be enjoyed in the gardens.

Of course, one of the things Bali is famous for is scooters. In fact, they’re a way of life. We’ll save you the stress of navigating overseas roads by suggesting Scooter Mania! Another plus side, you can park them almost anywhere – so you’ll save time searching for a car park. You won’t need a bike licence to hire a set of wheels, just previous experience on a scooter, as well as an Australian or international driver’s licence.

Another Bali staple is grabbing a surfboard and catching a wave. Luckily for us, Noosa is well-known for having some of the best longboarding breaks in the world, as well as some spectacular waves for shortboard riders! You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to picking a break to surf along the National Park.

Yes, we’re slightly biased when it comes to picking a spot to holiday, but hopefully you’ll consider your own backyard next time you’re planning an overseas holiday. Plus, you won’t get jet lag! You can thank us later.
