When it comes to dating, there are so many ways to woo.
You can go adventurous or relaxed, traditional or quirky, but whatever you do, it’s got to be memorable.
They say love is a wild ride so what better way to kick off a date than with some retro wheels?
Owner Michael Flocke takes great joy in sharing his beloved Kombi with the Sunshine Coast.
“A lot of guys have got these cars and they just mothball them and have them in the shed,” he said. “It’s like no way, these cars are meant to be out and everyone’s supposed to enjoy them.”
You know what they say, variety is the spice of life, and you need spice on a date. So why not mix it up by taking your love interest from land to sea?
Caloundra Jet Ski Safaris run various jet ski tours throughout the Sunshine Coast, and even as far down as Bribie Island.
Ken Jeffreys reckons jet skis are the perfect romance tool.
“You sit the bloke on the front or the woman on the front, and where else are they going to hold?” said Ken.
“They’re almost like a cuddle machine really aren’t they!”
If you really want to impress, a lavish set up by Gather By Bonnie at a location of your choice is pretty hard to beat.
Bonnie Frost takes great pride in hand styling pop up picnics.
“We specialise in grazing platters, we do them for weddings as well as deliver them to people’s homes,” Bonnie said. “We also do beautiful picnic set ups, event styling all around the Sunshine Coast catering from Caloundra all the way up to Noosa and Maleny.”
And there’s a good reason pop up picnics are becoming so popular.
“I think they’re really convenient,” Bonnie added. “They book them online, we come to set up for them and it’s all ready by the time they arrive and you know we’ll come back and pack down.”
