Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas

Here is what the QBD crew thought…

“You could rattle the stars,’ she whispered. ‘You could do anything, if only you dared.”

Celaena Sardothian, Assassin of Adarlan, is wasting away as a salt mine slave when an idealistic young prince and his serious young captain pull her out with an offer she can’t refuse. So begins Celaena’s story, which becomes richer and more complex than you can possibly imagine. Celaena is a strong, smart, richly drawn heroine – not to mention the fact that she’s a total badass. Add in a couple of smart and good-looking allies, and a terrifying villain, and you’ve got the beginning of a thrilling series that’ll keep you up waaayyyyy past your bedtime. – Sarah, QBD Support Office

This book series kept me on my toes from the first sentence to the last! With violence, romance and magic, this book is at the top of my fantasy favourites list and will no doubt stay there. Celaena is such an original character with hardships and humour that make me want to laugh and cry. Her ability to endure such death, though most of which she’s caused, is an indication of how strong a character she is. I could honestly ramble on and on about how amazing this book is but I would probably stop making sense. So I’m just going to keep it simple. If you read this book, you will never look at a pretty face again without thinking that she can and will kill you. Rachael, Robina QBD

I can safely say that “Throne of Glass” will always be one of my favourite series, and Sarah one of my favourite authors. This series, with its magic, banter, wit, humour, fae, fantastic characters, sass, character developments and overall story arcs fills my little heart with joy (and addiction). “Throne of Glass” is one of those books that checks all the right boxes for me. – Melissa, QBD Plenty Valley
