Spending time in the wilderness brings your senses alive. There’s so much to see, hear and feel in the rainforest.

Imagine how much richer that experience would be if you had the trained eyes and ears of a Savannah Guide at hand.

That’s exactly what you get when you book one of Steve Grainger’s Tropical Treks – guided tours through wilderness zones of the Sunshine Coast.

Steve is a Savannah Guide, with 20 years’ experience up his khaki sleeve. He wears the badge of a professionally trained interpreter of the natural world.

Steve guides groups on bushwalks through areas such as Conondale National Park in the Sunshine Coast hinterland – as well as bird-watching and wildlife tours that can be arranged as a one-on-one experience.

Also on offer is a multi-day hike on the Cooloola Great Walk – an 88 kilometer, 5 day, 4 night, fully-guided, self-sufficient hike.  It links the Noosa Northshore to Rainbow Beach via the 500,000 year old Cooloola Sandmass.  To the west lies the unspoiled ‘River of Mirrors’ the Noosa River and the stark volcanic crags formed over 25 million years. To the East is Teewah Beach and Pacific Ocean where migrating Humpback whales can be seen.  There are 4 dedicated camps on the walk, each offering toilets and freshwater. The trek is a wonderful way to unplug and reconnect with nature.
