First port of call could very well be one of the newest kids on the boutique beer block – Boiling Pot Brewing Company.
Pedro De Luca is the Brazilian- born, German-trained brewer here.
He’s deeply passionate about creating beer with character. The brewery’s flagship drop is Golden Ale – described as “Noosa in a can”.
On the other end of the beer spectrum sits “Bat Migration” – a German-style dark lager inspired by Pedro’s first sighting of the mass flying fox migration across Sunshine Coast skies at sunset.
From Noosa’s youngest brewer to its biggest: Heads of Noosa Brewing Company boasts an impressive presence in the coastal town’s industrial quarter.
Lager is the specialty here. Owner, Craig Masterston firmly believes the lighter, crisper style of beer is making a big comeback in the boutique brewing world – after being considered a ‘mass-production’ beverage for too long.
Heads of Noosa make a standard Japanese lager, a Pilsner and a Bock, a heavier German-style beer.
Apart from being imbibed for their refreshing flavours, the beers also star in the brewery’s brilliant menu… from bock-battered fish to lager-infused jus for Rib Fillet.
Noosa’s very first craft brewer was Land and Sea Brewery and it’s still innovating – literally. This popular boutique brew den has diversified into making spirits – with an impressive chrome and steel still dominating a corner of the premises.
