Filled with its character listed workers cottages, trendy cafes, and tree-lined streets, Paddington seems to embody the old charm of Brisbane more than any other suburb. However, even with all its heritage, Paddington is always reinventing itself; like the little strip of restaurants that reside on Latrobe Terrace, opposite Paddington Central.
On the corner of Latrobe and Ellana street, you have a Paddington staple, Remys, which does some of the tastiest burgers in Brisbane. Just two shops down you have Hai Hai, which pay’s homage to the Ramen restaurants of Japan, serving up a delicious range of noodle soups and other delicacies, catering for all tastes and dietary requirements. Hai Hai, translates to “Yes, Yes” in Japanese, and after tasting the food here, I think you will be exclaiming the same words!
Adding to the offering along this strip is the newly launched King Tea, which puts on some seriously flavoursome Chinese fare. The Chefs at King tea combines the Chinese staples which Australians love, with traditional Sichuan spices and cooking techniques, creating a dining experience like no other.
Just around the corner on Warmington Street, you’ll find the boutique aquarium of Fish Master Marvelous, a perfect place to visit for any of your aquarium needs! The owner, Marvel, loves to share his wealth of knowledge on fish and hobby aquariums, and is also an expert when it comes to creating and reinvigorating ponds!
