Brisbane Whale Watching

Come the start of winter each year, there is a major drawcard attracting visitors to the Queensland coast. There’s an annual migration of approximately eighteen thousand whales, north from the Antarctic, to feed and breed in warmer waters. We lucky Queenslanders have several options when it comes to getting out on the ocean to watch the spectacle.

Some of the best seats in the house are aboard Brisbane Whale Watching’s vessel, Eye Spy. During whale season (June until November) tours depart daily from Redcliffe Jetty, about 45 minutes from Brisbane’s CBD. Guests can enjoy incredible encounters with these gentle giants, accompanied by a detailed commentary on their behaviours, and the cruises are fully catered.
