There are many ways you can explore Moreton Bay, but by far the most relaxing would have to be by yacht. The team from Brisbane Yacht Charters is just the crew you need to make your day out on the bay extra special.
Since 2008, Darren Voigtlander and his father have made it their job to bring the best of the bay to their customers. Darren was introduced to boats at a very young age; in fact his father says he spent the first 18 months of his life on boats! His sea legs, then, are second to none. This means that he is an incredibly experienced captain, with a very helpful and skillful crew to boot.
The vessel? Aristocat: a big, beautiful, 13-metre catamaran that is pretty much the perfect cruising boat. With the sail up, you can track across the bay in peace and comfort. We can recommend taking up residence on the “trampoline” up the bow (front) of the boat.
Darren offers a variety of tours. From public, two-hour tours, to team-building days, birthday charters…even the occasional hens or bucks cruise! There is even a new Straddie tour now on offer. Starting on Stradbroke Island, you will cruise up the coast, taking in all the beauty the spectacular island has to offer.
Our crew indulged in a trip across to Peel Island. Just an hour-and-a-half from Cleveland and you arrive in Horseshoe Bay, one of two beautiful moorings around the island. Here, you can swim around the boat, relax and bask in the sun, or take a ride in with one of Darren’s crew to the beach.
Book in your own Moreton Bay experience by heading to the Brisbane Yacht Charters website. Darren has a load of cruise options available and can tailor them to suit you, too.
