Head up the Razorback Range to find Mount Morgan, the town that once had the Midas touch.
For more than a century, gold, silver and copper were mined here and though the mine has closed, the town treasures its golden memories.
Visit Mount Morgan Museum in the main street or head to the Mount Morgan Railway Museum for a fascinating look at the special Rack Railway that was built to conquer the steep range.
You can also meet up with TMC Tours at the station. The tour covers the town’s historical landmarks and a visit to the old mine site.
