Goompi Trail

Minjerribah is commonly known to visitors as North Stradbroke Island.
The rich Aboriginal history of the island centres around Dunwich, home of the Quandamooka People. The Goompi Trail is an historical walk with a local Aboriginal guide, exploring the foreshore of Dunwich and learning about the Quandamooka People.

Local indigenous artist Delvene Cockatoo-Collins, celebrates the island’s rich cultural history through her textiles, ceramics and jewellery. Through these art forms she expresses the stories of her family’s lived experiences on Minjerribah.
