The Killarney Picnic Basket Day is held in the fine gardens of Melrose Station, which is a 4000-hectare property, two-and-a-half-hour drive from Brisbane.
It’s a family friendly day in the country where visitors are invited to bring their blankets and chairs and feast on goodies from market stalls, while being entertained by live music.
In 2017 the event was held in April, and cost just $5 per person to attend, with the funds going to a worthy cause, Livin Charity. Make sure to keep an eye out for next’s year annual Killarney Picnic Basket Day.
