Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary’s Nocturnal Night

When it comes to getting up close to Australian Wildlife in South East Queensland, Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary has been an institution for nearly 100 years. From koalas to crocs, to tassie devils and farm animals a trip to the sanctuary is the perfect place for a walk on the wild side.

Whether you’re a regular or visiting for the first time, they’ve recently opened a brand-new adventure experience that is unlike anything they’ve offered before. As the sun sets over the sanctuary and many of the guests and wild residence are ready to call it a day, there are a number of other incredible animals gearing up for some nighttime activity. Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary’s Nocturnal Night Experiences offer two separate tours for guests to uncover the secrets of some of Australia’s most iconic creatures of the night. You’ll explore their natural habitats at their most active time of the day…um…night.

The Nocturnal Twilight Tour is great for families who have young explorers who want to go on a unique journey and uncover some night-time wildlife mysteries.  This guided experience is available for participants aged 3-years and older.

For the more daring who want to be immersed in the hidden beauty of the night-time world, the Nocturnal Night Tour is a must. Another guided experience, participants must be aged 13 years and over.

Each tour lasts for 90 minutes and sees each member equipped with a nighttime viewing torch and infra-red camera for locating some of the incredible nocturnal creatures that call the dark home. A truly extraordinary and unique way to discover a world you may never knew existed.
