QBD Books of the Year!

We are thrilled to finally introduce our “2022 Books of the Year!” After being carefully hand-selected by an incredible team of literary experts, “Lying Beside You” by Michael Robotham, “My Dream Time: A Memoir of Tennis and Teamwork” by Ash Barty, and “A Girl Called Corpse” by Reece Carter have taken the TOP SPOTS!

Our Fiction Book of the Year “Lying Beside You” follows two missing women, one witness, and a multitude of lies. Michael Robotham – an award-winning master of crime – has eloquently created a story with superior writing, clever plotting, and exceptional characters. We are thrilled to be supporting a prolific Australian author, in what has been a year of extraordinary storytelling.

My Dream Time: A Memoir of Tennis and Teamwork” by Ash Barty has been chosen as our Non-Fiction Book of the Year – and for good reason. This remarkable title shares Ash’s story – in her words. It’s a story about the power and joy of doing what you love and seeing where it can take you, and the importance of purpose – and perspective – in our lives. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Written by debut author Reece Carter – “A Girl Called Corpse” has been awarded our Children’s Book of the Year. This dazzling story is set in a forgotten coastal town that fizzes with secret magic and follows a lonely child ghost who goes searching for answers about her past. Bursting with mystery and filled with unforgettable characters, there is no denying that this book was a stand-out in 2022!

Of the thousands of wonderful titles considered, we could not be happier with our 2022 selections.
