No, they don’t have a gold medal or world record between them. But Michael, Ross, Bill and Ian have all beaten the odds – surviving heart health incidents that required treatment or surgery, along with lifestyle changes.
Evidence shows that being part of a community is good for your heart – along with regular physical activity. After each training session, the Vikings gather for breakfast and great coffee at The Coffee Roaster in Brisbane’s West End – part of the socializing that brings health benefits and a sense of community.
