The Scenic Rim is a region of great abundance – with a bounty of inspiring people, innovation, ideas, collaboration and compelling stories…
It’s a place of steep descents and breathtaking views; of ancient footprints; of herds and tribes beyond the fences; of resting places, new and old; of rich soil and clear waterholes; of generations of farmers, artists and pathmakers; and of flavours and flavour-makers who are the envy of the world.
It’s a region where Mother Nature rules!
The perfect destination for a day trip, a farm stay overnight or perhaps a longer visit, the Scenic Rim is a fertile agricultural region on the doorstep of Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
The vast region covers more than 4000 square kilometres, including Tamborine Mountain, Canungra, Beaudesert, Boonah, Kalbar and Peak Crossing.
It’s home to six National Parks and more than 30,000 hectares of parkland – along with three dams: Lake Moogerah, Lake Maroon and Wyaralong Dam.
The region’s rich alluvial soil sustains a bounty of produce – including vegetables, olives, macadamia nuts, dairy, poultry, pork, beef, sheep, camel, finger limes, limes, coffee, avocadoes and rhubarb.
